In Russia RTS index is the second major indicator on the stock market.
The Russian Trading System Group (RTS) is an integrated trade-clearing infrastructure which includes the joint stock company (JSC) “The RTS Stock Market”, The RTS Noncommercial Partnership (NP), “Deposit-Clearing Company” limited liability company (LLC), “Saint-Petersburg stock exchange” JSC and “RTS Index Agency” Ltd. The stock market is a public limited company that is why its shares are in free circulation on the market.
In January 2007 the RTS Group became an affiliate member of «World Federation of Exchanges» (WFE). The Secretary General of the WFE Thomas Kranz stated in his letter that the RTS Group complies with all requirements imposed by the WFE to its members.
RTS trading platforms:
RTS Standard. Attracts professional players of the stock market, institutional investors, hedge funds and private investors of unified trading system for shares and derivatives (futures and options) and absence of mandatory requirement of 100% asset usage during the deals execution. Obligations fulfillment is accomplished on the fourth day after the day of deal making. As a deal currency comes the Russian ruble.
RTS Classica. Work on this platform requires 100% of provisional deposit, date selection and payment method. There is a payment opportunity in foreign currency (US dollar and Euro).
FORTS futures and options market. The most popular trading platform in Russia and Eastern Europe for those who prefer futures and options, and their basic assets are: RTS index, sectoral indexes, shares and bonds of the Russian issuers, federal loan bonds, foreign currency, average rate of MosIBOR one-day loan and MosPrime three-month loan rate, and also goods – oil of Urals and Brent brands, diesel fuel, gold, silver and sugar.

The trading sessions duration on RTS Standard and FORTS futures and options market - 10:30 - 23:50 (Moscow time).
